ProA top team - Science City Jena (14-1) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Finke Baskets (5-10) 71-63. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Science City Jena forced 26 Finke Baskets turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 29 personal fouls committed by Finke Baskets helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for the former international Guido Gruenheid (208-82) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Immanuel McElroy (194-80, college: Cincinnati) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Ivan Buntic (207-91) answered with 11 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Morgan Grim (204-88, college: Utah St.) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Finke Baskets. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Science City Jena have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row.
