We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Cherkasy (7-6) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Mykolaiv (6-8) 84-80 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 20-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Cherkasy was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Oleksandr Shostuha (193-84) who scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Vladyslav Tonchenko (185-89) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists.
