An interesting game took place in Schwelm where 9th ranked SG Schwelmer Baskets (5-8) were upset on its own court by twelfth ranked SC Rist Wedel (3-9) 64-60 on Sunday. SG Schwelmer Baskets were plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Amir Carraway (198-91, college: Chico St.) stepped up and scored 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard Isaac Gordon (196-88, college: UTEP) chipped in 18 points. At the losing side American swingman Domonique Crawford (196-84, college: Youngstown St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and guard Mathias Perl (188-89) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Four SG Schwelmer Baskets players scored in double figures. SG Schwelmer Baskets' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. SC Rist Wedel moved-up to eleventh place in North, which they share with Recklinghausen. Loser SG Schwelmer Baskets keep the ninth position with eight games lost. SC Rist Wedel will face higher ranked Oldenburg (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
