Regular Season Round 12: Istanbul BSB - TED Kolejliler 74-72

Bottom-ranked Istanbul BSB managed to get a second victory, breaking the four-game losing streak on Wednesday night. This time they edged tenth-ranked TED Kolejliler 74-72. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The winners were led by American power forward Ben McCauley (206-86, college: N.Carolina St.) who scored that evening 20 points and the other American import guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri) supported him with 15 points and 4 assists. Even 24 points and 5 assists by American guard Kalin Lucas (185-89, college: Michigan St.) did not help to save the game for TED Kolejliler. Lithuanian guard Martynas Gecevicius (193-88, agency: Beo Basket) added 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Istanbul BSB (2-8) moved-up to fifteenth place. Loser TED Kolejliler dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Trabzonspor. Istanbul BSB's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Darussafaka.
