Regular Season Round 14: Mladost ZE - FMP 61-88

KLS top team - FMP (13-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Mladost ZE (7-7) in Zemun 88-61. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Mladost ZE. The game without a history. FMP led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Mladost ZE's 18. They outrebounded Mladost ZE 38-25 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. FMP players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Mladost ZE's players. Point guard Filip Covic (178-89, agency: Beo Basket) notched 27 points and 8 assists to lead the effort and Stefan Lazarevic (197-96) supported him with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Even 16 points and 7 rebounds by forward Stefan Balmazovic (202-89) did not help to save the game for Mladost ZE. Guard Stefan Pot (196-94) added 15 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FMP have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record. Newly promoted Mladost ZE dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Sloga and Napredak K.. FMP will play against Tamis (#10) in Pancevo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mladost ZE will play on the road against Vojvodina (#12) in Novi Sad and hopes to get back on the winning track.
