Regular Season Round 12: VolinBasket - SC Kryvbas 65-101

Very predictable result when second ranked SC Kryvbas (12-4) rolled over 9th ranked VolinBasket (2-13) in Lutsk 101-65 on Saturday. The game without a history. SC Kryvbas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to VolinBasket's 28. SC Kryvbas forced 19 VolinBasket turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by VolinBasket's players. It was a good game for international swingman Dmytro Gliebov (198-88, agency: Beo Basket) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 7 assists. Forward Olexandr Drobiazko (196-93) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four SC Kryvbas players scored in double figures. Ivan Timoschuk replied with 15 points and 7 assists and guard Nikola Polyulyak (192-90) added 9 points in the effort for VolinBasket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted SC Kryvbas maintains second position with 12-4 record having five points less than leader Khimik. VolinBasket lost fifth consecutive game. VolinBasket at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth place with 13 games lost. SC Kryvbas will face Cherkasy (#4) on the road in the next round.
