Regular Season Round 14: Adanaspor - Akhisar Bld 87-85

A very interesting game took place in Adana. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Akhisar Bld (6-8) to sixteenth ranked Adanaspor (4-10) 87-85 on Saturday evening. It looked good early as Akhisar Bld took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Adanaspor had a 23-17 second period charge getting the lead and Akhisar Bld was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 85-87. 26 personal fouls committed by Akhisar Bld helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Terrell Stoglin (185-91, college: Maryland) orchestrated the victory by scoring 44 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Latvian center Kaspars Kambala (206-78, college: UNLV, agency: Ali Guney BA) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American guard K.T. Harrell (193-92, college: Auburn) replied with 27 points and 5 rebounds and center Hakan Yapar (202-84) added 19 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Akhisar Bld. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Adanaspor have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixteenth position with 4-10 record. Akhisar Bld lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with eight games lost. Adanaspor's next round opponent will be Bandirma Kir. (#17) in Balikesir.
