Bottom-ranked Bakospor (0-11) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 97-39 loss to sixth ranked TED Ankara (6-4) in Gaziantep on Saturday evening. They held Bakospor to an opponent 22.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.8 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Bakospor 66-32 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. TED Ankara looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Bakospor's players. It was a great evening for Gizem Kazali (-92) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. Center Derin Yaya (174-97) helped adding 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Five TED Ankara players scored in double figures. Dilara Hazal Kara (-95) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Melek Kileci (-95) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TED Ankara maintains sixth place in Group B with 6-4 record. Bakospor lost their eleventh game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 11 games lost. TED Ankara will meet Alanya Bld (#8) on the road in the next round. Bakospor will play against Urla BLD (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
