Regular Season Round 12: Infiz Basket - Mykolaiv 69-94

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Mykolaiv (7-9) outplayed bottom-ranked Infiz Basket (2-15) in Kyiv 94-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Mykolaiv. Infiz Basket was better in third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for forward Oleksandr Tsikaliuk (204-93) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Maksym Lukyanov (197-94) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Mykolaiv's coach Sergei Kirlan felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Artem Shvets (202-85) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Igor Dobrikov (193-90) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Infiz Basket. Five Mykolaiv and four Infiz Basket players scored in double figures. Mykolaiv maintains sixth position with 7-9 record. Infiz Basket lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. Mykolaiv will face Zaporizhya (#7) in Zaporozhye in the next round. Infiz Basket will play at home against Bipa Basket and hope to win that game.
