The most exciting game of round 12 in the KBSL took place in Kayseri. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd ranked Fenerbahce (8-4) to first ranked Abdullah Gul (10-2) 70-68 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Fenerbahce. It was a good game for American guard Chelsea Gray (180-92, college: Duke) who led her team to a victory with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. International LaToya Sanders (191-86, college: N.Carolina) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Abdullah Gul players scored in double figures. American center Jantel Lavender (191-88, college: Ohio St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds and Hungarian-American guard Allie Quigley (178-86, college: De Paul) added 24 points in the effort for Fenerbahce. Abdullah Gul maintains first position with 10-2 record. Fenerbahce at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Hatay. Abdullah Gul are looking forward to face Edirne (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Fenerbahce will play against Istanbul Uni (#6) in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
