Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Mersin: Mersin (#4) and Adana ASKI (#14). Adana ASKI was defeated at home 65-75. Mersin made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Mersin outrebounded Adana ASKI 44-27 including 33 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American Angel McCoughtry (187-86, college: Louisville) who scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import guard Bria Hartley (173-92, college: Connecticut) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Mersin players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Swedish center Amanda Zahui (196-93, college: Minnesota) who recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds and Melisa Can added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Adana ASKI's coach Kaan Artun rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mersin have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Galatasaray. Adana ASKI lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Mersin's next round opponent will be Hatay (#5) at home. Adana ASKI will play against Botas (#9) in Adana and hope to win that game.
