Regular Season Round 13: Botas - Adana ASKI 85-75

Very predictable result when ninth ranked Botas (6-7) defeated at home bottom-ranked Adana ASKI (2-11) 85-75 on Saturday. Botas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Montenegrin power forward Milica Jovanovic (189-89) stepped up and scored 25 points for the winners and American power forward Avery Warley (190-87, college: Liberty) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side the former international point guard Nilay Kartaltepe (172-79) responded with 17 points and 9 assists and Lithuanian guard Kamile Nacickaite (181-89, college: Drexel) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Adana ASKI's coach Kaan Artun tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Botas have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place. Adana ASKI lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Botas will face higher ranked Hatay (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Adana ASKI will play against Canik Bld (#7) in Samsun and hope to win that game.
