Regular Season Round 15: Eskisehir Basket - Mamak DSI 72-81

There was a surprise result in Edirne where fourteenth ranked Mamak DSI (6-9) defeated higher ranked Eskisehir Basket (8-7) 81-72 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Eskisehir Basket won fourth quarter 14-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mamak DSI looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Eskisehir Basket's players. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was power forward Brandon Peterson (204-90, college: Arkansas St.) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Raymond Sykes (206-86, college: Clemson, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St., agency: Ali Guney BA) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Leemire Goldwire (184-85, college: Charlotte, agency: HMS) added 12 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Eskisehir Basket's coach Metin Agirbasoglu rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mamak DSI moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Eskisehir Basket at the other side keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Mamak DSI will face higher ranked Gelisim (#8) in Izmir in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
