The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Karsiyaka's (8-6) home victory over 8th ranked Demir IBB (6-7) 74-69 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American Kenny Gabriel (209-89, college: Auburn) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import guard Bracey Wright (191-84, college: Indiana) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. Four Karsiyaka players scored in double figures. American power forward Kahiem Seawright (206-86, college: Rhode Island) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and American-Tunisian Michael Roll (197-87, college: UCLA) added 10 points and 9 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place. Newly promoted Demir IBB dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Karsiyaka will have a break next round. Demir IBB will play at home against Besiktas (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
