Regular Season Round 14: Anadolu Efes - TED Kolejliler 75-72

Tenth-ranked TED Kolejliler (6-8) made lots of trouble for first ranked Anadolu Efes (10-3) in Istanbul on Sunday. Anadolu Efes managed to secure only three-point victory 75-72. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TED Kolejliler won third quarter 16-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded TED Kolejliler 44-33 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Croatian Dario Saric (207-94, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. American-Slovenian center Bryant Dunston (203-86) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Georgian forward Viktor Sanikidze (203-86) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Kalin Lucas (185-89, college: Michigan St.) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Anadolu Efes have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-3 record. TED Kolejliler at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Trabzonspor. Anadolu Efes' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Darussafaka.
