NBL top team - Haskovo 2012 (10-1) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed eighth ranked NSA Delta (0-11) in Sofia 102-57. The game was mostly controlled by Haskovo 2012. NSA Delta managed to win third quarter 24-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding NSA Delta to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Haskovo 2012 dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to NSA Delta's 24. Haskovo 2012 forced 32 NSA Delta turnovers and outrebounded them 50-25 including a 26-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Haskovo 2012 looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by NSA Delta's players. It was a great evening for American swingman Jazmine Perkins (178, college: Washington St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 11 steals. Mali forward Meiya Tirera (186-86) helped adding 19 points and 14 rebounds. Five Haskovo 2012 players scored in double figures. Guard Mihaela Dilova (176-90) responded with 15 points and swingman Maria Svetoslavova (179-93) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Haskovo 2012 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-1 record. Newly promoted NSA Delta still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Haskovo 2012 are looking forward to face league's second-placed Neftochimic in Burgas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. NSA Delta's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Sofia to the arena Levski.
