Regular Season Round 16: Final Genclik - Afyon 68-66

A very close game took place in Bursa between Final Genclik and Afyon. Fourteenth ranked Final Genclik (6-10) got a very close home victory over 13th ranked Afyon (6-10). Final Genclik managed to escape with a 2-point win 68-66 in the fight for the tenth place. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 35-29 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by American guard Alex Gordon (184-85, college: Vanderbilt, agency: HMS) who scored that evening 10 points and 8 rebounds and guard Mustafa Gucyetmez (188-80) supported him with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 20 points by American guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado) did not help to save the game for Afyon. Forward Gokhan Orcun Tunca (201-80) added 10 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Final Genclik moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Afyon. Final Genclik will meet Socar Petkim (#15) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Afyon will play against Adanaspor (#16) and hope to secure a win.
