Regular Season Round 15: Spartak - Vrsac 84-77

There was a minor upset in Subotica where higher ranked Vrsac (6-9) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Spartak (6-9) 84-77. Vrsac was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 48-39 second half run of Spartak. It was an exceptional evening for center Aleksandar Jevdic (203-82, agency: BeoExcell) who led the winners and scored 20 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Guard Davorin Kuntic (186-92) accounted for 16 points and 4 assists for the winning side. The former international guard Mladen Jeremic (196-88, agency: Interperformances) came up with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Montenegrin forward Rajko Kljajevic (204-85, agency: BeoExcell) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Vrsac in the defeat. Four Vrsac players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spartak moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Vrsac. Spartak's next round opponent will be higher ranked Smederevo (#4) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
