Regular Season Round 13: Wolfenbuettel - B.Loewen 67-50

Very expected game when 11th ranked B.Loewen (1-11) was defeated on the road by third ranked Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (8-4) 67-50. The game was mostly controlled by Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel. B.Loewen was better in third quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding B.Loewen to just 2 points in second quarter. They outrebounded B.Loewen 44-25 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Canadian forward Raelyn Prince (191-88) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and Polish forward Klaudia Grudzien (184-90) accounted for 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel players scored in double figures. American center Mackenzie Morrison (195, college: William & Mary) came up with 11 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Jessica Freeman (163-91, college: N.C.Central) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for B.Loewen in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel maintains third place in North with 8-4 record having six points less than leader Bad Aibling. Newly promoted B.Loewen keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel's next round opponent will be Wusterhausen (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. B.Loewen will play against TuSLi Berlin and hope to win that game.
