Regular Season Round 21: Juventus - Siauliai 90-66

The game between fifth ranked Juventus (10-9) and 6th ranked Siauliai (8-11) in Utena on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Juventus outscored guests from Siauliai 90-66. The game without a history. Juventus led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Siauliai's 28. Juventus looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Siauliai's players. Siauliai was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American swingman Spencer Butterfield (190-92, college: Utah St., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Swiss guard Rolandas Alijevas (192-85, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 assists for the winners. Five Juventus players scored in double figures. Egyptian forward Assem Marei (206-92, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Cameron Ayers (196-91, college: Bucknell) added 14 points in the effort for Siauliai. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Juventus moved-up to third place, which they share with Neptunas. Loser Siauliai keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Juventus will face Vytautas (#5) in Prienai in the next round.
