No shocking result in a game when second ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (13-7) defeated at home 6th ranked Arkadia Lions (9-11) 79-73. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Arkadia Lions were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Croatian Marko Car (188-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Toni Blazan (195-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Furstenfeld Panthers players scored in double figures. Argentinian-Italian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds and guard Benedikt Guettl (190-94) added 21 points in the effort for Arkadia Lions. Furstenfeld Panthers maintains second position with 13-7 record having four points less than leader Gussing. Arkadia Lions at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Klosterneuburg and Kapfenberg. Furstenfeld Panthers will play against Dukes (#5) in Klosterneuburg in the next round.
