Regular Season Round 14: Amager - Horsholm 77-52

The game in Kastrup supposed to be also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Horsholm (5-7) played at the court of fifth ranked Amager (6-6). Amager smashed Horsholm 77-52 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Amager led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Amager forced 23 Horsholm turnovers and outrebounded them 46-33 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Portia Durrett (185-92, college: Oklahoma) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. Swingman Catharina Jensen (183-89) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Amager players scored in double figures. Amager's coach Jesper Krone Rasmussen felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Serbian forward Ivana Jovanovic (185-85) produced 13 points and 6 rebounds and forward Nathalie Toft (180-94) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Amager moved-up to fourth place. Horsholm lost fourth consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Amager will meet at home league's second-placed Virum in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Horsholm will play against SISU in Copenhagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
