Regular Season Round 17: Acibadem - Balikesir 65-68

The most exciting game of round 17 in the TBL took place in Istanbul. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-ranked Acibadem (13-4) to sixth ranked Balikesir (10-7) 68-65 on Friday evening. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 24-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Guard Ahmet Tuncer (193-93, agency: 1x1 Sports) stepped up and scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and American forward Mike Davis (205-88, college: Illinois) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Balikesir players scored in double figures. American power forward Sharrod Ford (206-82, college: Clemson) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and American-Bulgarian point guard Keydren Clark (180-84, college: St.Peter's) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Balikesir maintains sixth place with 10-7 record. Newly promoted Acibadem keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Gediz. Balikesir are looking forward to face Eskisehir Basket (#8) in Edirne in the next round. Acibadem will play at home against Final Genclik (#15) and is hoping to win this game.
