Regular Season Round 15: Yambol - Chernomorets 95-74

Bottom-ranked Yambol managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of four consecutive losses on Saturday night. This time they outleveled ninth-ranked Chernomorets 95-74. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 21-point difference proves that Yambol was well-prepared to that game. The game was mostly controlled by Yambol. Chernomorets managed to win fourth quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Yambol dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Chernomorets' 40. The best player for the winners was Serbian point guard Milijan Bocka (185-82) who scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Denis Agre (205-88, college: Pepperdine) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Hunter Williams (183-92, college: Troy) who recorded 23 points and 4 steals and Serbian center Marko Janjusevic (213-85) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Five Yambol and four Chernomorets players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Yambol (3-12) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Akademik PL. Chernomorets lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. Yambol will meet higher ranked Cherno More (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Chernomorets will play against the league's leader Lukoil Acad. (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
