Regular Season Round 17: Afyon - Adanaspor 92-75

Twelfth ranked Afyon (7-10) crushed at home 16th ranked Adanaspor (4-13) by 17 points 92-75, which is the biggest margin this round. The game was mostly controlled by Afyon. Adanaspor was better in fourth quarter 32-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import center David Weaver (207-87, college: Wake Forest) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Five Afyon players scored in double figures. Afyon's coach Deniz Atak allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Onur Calban (211-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Terrell Stoglin (185-91, college: Maryland) added 18 points in the effort for Adanaspor. Afyon moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Akhisar Bld. Adanaspor lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the seventeenth position with 13 games lost. Afyon's next round opponent will be higher ranked Denizli (#4) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Adanaspor will play against Socar Petkim (#14) and hope to win that game.
