Regular Season Round 11: Parklji - Grosuplje 92-71

Date: January 16, 2016
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Grosuplje (6-6) and Parklji (5-6), which took place in Bezigrad. Higher ranked Grosuplje was outleveled in a road game by tenth ranked Parklji 92-71 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Parklji. Grosuplje was better in fourth quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Grosuplje 51-25 including a 36-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Parklji looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Swingman Luka Snoj (200-90) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Matic Urbas (192-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Forward Matic Sirnik (198-91) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds and forward Jost Peterca (195-90) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Grosuplje. Five Parklji and four Grosuplje players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Parklji moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Celje. Grosuplje at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Parklji will face league's second-placed Branik in Maribor in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
