No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Herner TC (11-4) beat at home 9th ranked TH Wohnbau Angels (4-11) 85-78 on Sunday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-10. But TH Wohnbau Angels won third quarter 25-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Herner TC made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Herner TC outrebounded TH Wohnbau Angels 31-20 including 20 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Katharina Fikiel who led her team to a victory with 17 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The former international power forward Sonja Greinacher (188-92, college: Gonzaga) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Herner TC players scored in double figures.
