Regular Season Round 15: Wuerzburg - Licher Baeren 68-87

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Licher Basket (5-10) outleveled on the road higher ranked Wuerzburg (7-8) 87-68 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was power forward Jan Moritz Overdick (207-97) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Konstantin Kovalev (203-95) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Five Licher Basket players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Felix Hoffmann (195-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Constantin Ebert (185-96) added 15 points respectively. Wuerzburg's coach Peter Guenschel tested twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Licher Basket moved-up to tenth place in South, which they share with Saarlouis. Loser Wuerzburg keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Licher Basket will face league's leader Ehingen/Urspringschule in Allmendingen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
