Rather expected game in Lisboa where 5th ranked Barreirense (6-7) was defeated by second ranked Benfica B (9-4) 87-73. The game was mostly controlled by Benfica B. Barreirense was better in third quarter 27-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Barreirense to just 7 points in first quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Sergio Silva (193-96) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds. Center Ricardo Monteiro (208-97) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Cape Verdean forward Kevin Coronel (197-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and guard Alexandre Coelho (178-90) added 15 points and 5 assists in the effort for Barreirense. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Benfica B. They maintain second place with 9-4 record behind leader Illiabum. Barreirense lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the third position with seven games lost.
