Second Stage Round 3: Suzirja - Frankivsk 66-69

The most exciting game of round 3 in the National League took place in Rivne. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of Suzirja (0-3) to Frankivsk (2-1) 69-66 on Sunday evening. Suzirja was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Frankivsk shot 29 for 42 from the free-throw line, while Suzirja only scored eight points from the stripe. 27 personal fouls committed by Suzirja helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for forward Tetyana Gaiv (180-88) who led her team to a victory scoring 15 points and 7 rebounds. International forward Darya Zavidna (185-93) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Frankivsk players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Elena Bondar (165-91) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Yana Holubosh (179-96) scored 15 points. Frankivsk are looking forward to face Interkhim (#3) in Odessa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Suzirja will have a break next round.
