No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (10-5) defeated on the road 9th ranked SG Schwelmer Baskets (5-10) 72-64 on Sunday. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 SG Schwelmer Baskets turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Demetrius Ward (188-90, college: W.Michigan) who scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Tobias Welzel (183-90) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Ward is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Herzoege Wolfenbuettel players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian center Ivan Krolo (217-83, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who recorded 15 points and 9 rebounds and American swingman Domonique Crawford (196-84, college: Youngstown St.) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel moved-up to second place in North, which they share with Rostock and Oldenburg. SG Schwelmer Baskets lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel will face Itzehoe (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
