Second Stage Round 3: DVUFK - Blyskavky 49-56

The game in Dnepropetrovsk was also worth to mention about. Blyskavky (4-0) played at the court of DVUFK (0-4). Blyskavky managed to secure a 7-point victory 56-49. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But DVUFK won fourth quarter 13-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Blyskavky forced 19 DVUFK turnovers. It was a good game for center Oksana Stepanyuk (190-95) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Iryna Zhmurko (181-96) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Swingman Viola Onyshchenko (181-90) answered with 25 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Oksana Fastova (168-99) added 10 points in the effort for DVUFK. DVUFK's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Blyskavky's next round opponent will be Dynamo-NPU in Kyiv and it will be for sure the game of the week. DVUFK will play on the road against Chaika (#5) in Berdiansk and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
