Second Stage Round 3: Tavriyska Zivka - Interkhim 33-102

The game in Kherson supposed to be also quite interesting. Interkhim (4-1) played at the court of Tavriyska Zivka (0-4). Interkhim smashed Tavriyska Zivka 102-33 on Sunday. The game without a history. Interkhim led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Tavriyska Zivka to just 5 points in third quarter and to 11 points in second half. Interkhim dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Tavriyska Zivka's 26. Interkhim forced 33 Tavriyska Zivka turnovers and outrebounded them 41-25 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Tavriyska Zivka's players. The best player for the winners was center Kristina Karp (193-98) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). International forward Kateryna Kovalyova (185-89) chipped in 21 points and 4 assists. Five Interkhim players scored in double figures. Interkhim's coach Iryna Shchipakina felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Sofiia Pantiukh (167-95) who recorded 13 points and Daria Shtura added 10 points respectively. Interkhim will meet Frankivsk (#4) in the next round. Tavriyska Zivka will have a break next round.
