Second Stage Round 1: Ezerunas-Karys - Delikatesas 67-65

A very interesting game took place in Moletai. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 11th ranked Delikatesas (9-18) to thirteenth ranked Ezerunas-Karys (9-18) 67-65 in the fight for the eleventh place. Delikatesas cut a 14-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was forward Evaldas Baniulis (201-87, college: S.Carolina) who had a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Point guard Evaldas Rastenis (184-89) chipped in 16 points. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Sarunas Kulevicius (191-89) who recorded 13 points and 9 rebounds and forward Darius Griskenas (194-84) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively. Ezerunas-Karys moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with defeated Delikatesas. Delikatesas lost third consecutive game. Ezerunas-Karys' next round opponent will be higher ranked Silute (#10) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
