Second Stage Round 2: Suduva-Mantinga - Mazeikiai 80-69

The game between Top Four teams took place in Marijampole. First ranked host Suduva-Mantinga (23-4) defeated their biggest opponent Mazeikiai (21-7) 80-69. The game was mostly controlled by Suduva-Mantinga. Mazeikiai managed to win third quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Suduva-Mantinga made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Mazeikiai helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Aurimas Kieza (202-82, college: Hofstra) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 rebounds and guard Dovis Bickauskis (188-93) who added 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Sarunas Vingelis (192-89) responded with 17 points and the former international guard Darius Pakamanis (192-81) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Suduva-Mantinga have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 23-4 record. Mazeikiai at the other side keeps the second place with seven games lost. They share the position with Vytis. Suduva-Mantinga are looking forward to face Perlas-MRU (#5) in Vilnius in the next round. Mazeikiai will play at home against Vytis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
