Regular Season Round 17: Konstantin - Vrsac 96-86

Everything went according to plan in Nis where third ranked Konstantin (13-4) beat 10th ranked Vrsac (6-11) 96-86 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Konstantin. Vrsac managed to win second period 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Konstantin dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Vrsac's 34 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was forward Danilo Tasic (207-93) who scored 30 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Guard Vladimir Velickovic (178-89) chipped in 20 points and 9 assists. Montenegrin forward Rajko Kljajevic (204-85, agency: BeoExcell) produced 18 points and Bojan Davidovac (205-90) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Vrsac players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Konstantin moved-up to second place, which they share with Borac. Vrsac lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Vojvodina. Konstantin will meet Smederevo (#4) on the road in the next round. Vrsac will play against KK Jagodina (#14) and hope to secure a win.
