Second Stage Round 4: Dynamo-NPU - Blyskavky 71-61

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Blyskavky (4-1) in Kyiv on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Dynamo-NPU (5-0) 71-61. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Blyskavky. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Viktoriya Kondus (170-97) fired 27 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her nine free throws !!!) for the winners. The former international swingman Iryna Tsekova (177-78) chipped in a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Point guard Viktoriia Khomiak (171-95) produced 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and Iryna Zhmurko (181-96) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Blyskavky players scored in double figures. Dynamo-NPU have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 5-0 record. Blyskavky at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
