Second Stage Round 4: Frankivsk - Interkhim 67-80

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Ivano-Frankivsk. Third ranked Interkhim faced 4th ranked Frankivsk. Guests from Odessa (5-1) defeated host Frankivsk (2-2) 80-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Frankivsk. It looked good early as Frankivsk took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Interkhim had a 32-19 second period charge getting the lead and Frankivsk was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 67-80. Interkhim shot 69.6 percent from the field. Strangely Frankivsk outrebounded Interkhim 30-9 including a 18-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Arina Bilotserkivska (-89) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Natalia Kolotovska (174-90) contributed with 16 points for the winners. International forward Darya Zavidna (185-93) replied with 21 points and forward Viktoriya Karyeva (187-92) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Frankivsk. Four Frankivsk players scored in double figures. Interkhim have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Frankivsk at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
