Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Don Bosco Bamberg (9-6) beat on the road 11th ranked Homburger TG (3-12) 69-53 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Don Bosco Bamberg. Homburger TG was better in third quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American center Miranda Cantrell (183-93, college: Jacksonville St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Daniela Vogel (179-92) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was American guard Chelsea Meeks (165-92) with 15 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import power forward Elizabeth Horton (185, college: Valparaiso) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Don Bosco Bamberg moved-up to fourth place in South, which they share with Jahn Muenchen. Newly promoted Homburger TG keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Don Bosco Bamberg will face Ladybaskets Wuerzburg (#8) at home in the next round. Homburger TG will play against Wasserburg II and hope to win that game.
