Regular Season Round 15: SISU - Horsholm 50-73

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked SISU's (3-10) home loss to fifth ranked Horsholm (6-7) 50-73 on Sunday. The game without a history. Horsholm led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SISU to just 7 points in second quarter. Horsholm dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to SISU's 30. Horsholm forced 19 SISU turnovers. The best player for the winners was Serbian forward Ivana Jovanovic (185-85) who scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Lena Svanholm (-98) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Olivia Applewhite (183-91, college: Dayton) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds and Mathilde Colding-Poulsen (178-95) added 5 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains fifth place with 6-7 record. SISU lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with ten games lost. Horsholm will face higher ranked Amager (#4) in Kastrup in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SISU will play on the road against the league's second-placed Virum and hope to win that game.
