Regular Season Round 15: Dynamo - SC Kryvbas 56-57

The most exciting game of round 15 in the SL Favorit Sport took place in Kyiv. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 3rd placed Dynamo (16-6) to second ranked SC Kryvbas (17-4) 57-56 in the game for the second place. The guests trailed by 12 points after three quarters before their 17-4 charge, which allowed them to win the game. SC Kryvbas dominated on the defensive end, holding Dynamo to just 4 points in fourth quarter. It was a good game for international swingman Dmytro Gliebov (198-88, agency: Beo Basket) who saved his team from a defeat with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Russian guard Artem Shchepkin (194-86) contributed with 11 points for the winners. Shchepkin is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. SC Kryvbas' coach Valeriy Plehanov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international guard Artem Slipenchuk (193-89, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists and the former international Artur Drozdov (199-80, agency: Comsport) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Dynamo. SC Kryvbas have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Newly promoted SC Kryvbas maintains second place with 17-4 record behind leader Khimik. Dynamo at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the third position with six games lost. SC Kryvbas are looking forward to face Zaporizhya (#7) in Zaporozhye in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dynamo will play at home against VolinBasket (#8) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
