Regular Season Round 15: Dynamo - Zaporizhya 90-76

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Dynamo (16-6) beat 7th ranked Zaporizhya (8-14) in Kyiv 90-76 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Dynamo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Zaporizhya's 30. It was a great shooting night for Dynamo especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a good game for center Anatolii Chelovan (206-91) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 6 rebounds (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international Artur Drozdov (199-80, agency: Comsport) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Guard Stanislav Ovdeyenko (191-84) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and guard Alexey Chigrinov (189-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Zaporizhya. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Dynamo maintains third place with 16-6 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Khimik. Loser Zaporizhya keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. Dynamo will face VolinBasket (#8) in Lutsk in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Zaporizhya will play on the road against the league's second-placed SC Kryvbas in Kryvyi Rih and hope to win that game.
