Regular Season Round 13: Slovan - Plama Pur 59-68

There was no surprise in Ljubljana where 12th ranked Slovan (3-10) was defeated by third ranked Plama Pur (8-5) 68-59 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 15-12. But Slovan won second period 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Slovan was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Leon Santelj (204-95) fired 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Anze Srebovt (196-91) chipped in 17 points. Forward Matija Vravnik (198-92) produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and center Ziga Fifolt (211-93) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Slovan's coach Gregor Hafnar tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Plama Pur moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Slovan stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Plama Pur will face league's leader Terme Olimia in Podcetrtek in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Slovan will play on the road against Triglav (#5) in Kranj and hope to win that game.
