Important game to mention about took place in Yambol. Ninth ranked Yambol (4-13) saved a 1-point victory at home edging higher ranked Spartak Pleven (9-8) 73-72 on Saturday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Spartak Pleven won third quarter 24-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Power forward Denis Agre (205-88, college: Pepperdine) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Serbian point guard Milijan Bocka (185-82) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. Power forward Dimitar Marincheshki (200-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds and Montenegrin-Serbian center Milovan Savic (205-87) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Spartak Pleven players scored in double figures. Yambol moved-up to eighth place. Spartak Pleven at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Cherno More. Yambol will play against higher ranked Levski 2014 (#7) in Sofia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Spartak Pleven will play at home against the league's leader Lukoil Acad. and will have a slim chance for a victory.
