Regular Season Round 13: Hrastnik - Sezana 80-83

A very interesting game took place in Hrastnik. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 11th ranked Hrastnik (3-10) to eighth ranked Sezana (7-6) 83-80 on Saturday evening. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-13. But Hrastnik won second period 22-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sezana dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Hrastnik's 34. Sezana forced 19 Hrastnik turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Hrastnik helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Nejc Glavas (190-86) nailed 20 points for the winning side and center Gregor Jakhel Kolarevic (208-88) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds. Sezana's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Dejan Dunovic (193-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza) came up with 22 points and guard Gasper Ovnik (190-82) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Hrastnik in the defeat. Four Hrastnik players scored in double figures. Sezana moved-up to seventh place. Hrastnik lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with ten games lost. Sezana's next round opponent will be higher ranked Grosuplje (#6) in Grosuplje and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hrastnik will play on the road against Crnomelj (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
