Regular Season Round 16: Aabyhoj - Stevnsgade 53-64

Dameligaen top team - Stevnsgade (12-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Aabyhoj (2-11) 64-53. It looked good early as Aabyhoj took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Stevnsgade had a 18-8 second period charge getting the lead and Aabyhoj was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 53-64. Stevnsgade forced 22 Aabyhoj turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of international guard Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Katrine Dyszkant (186-86) who added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side swingman Enna Pehadzic (178-97) responded with 14 points and 4 steals and guard Bianca Christiansen (178-90) scored 10 points. Stevnsgade have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-2 record. Aabyhoj lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. Stevnsgade will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aabyhoj will play on the road against Amager (#4) in Kastrup and hopes to get back on the winning track.
