Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked B.Loewen and 10th ranked Wusterhausen had identical 1-12 record. This time B.Loewen used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Wusterhausen 72-67 on Sunday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Wusterhausen won third quarter 23-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. B.Loewen forced 22 Wusterhausen turnovers. Center Viktoria Jaeger (184) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American center Mackenzie Morrison (195, college: William & Mary) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. B.Loewen's coach Alexander Sauer used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Serbian guard Natasa Zolotic (165-93, agency: IPSA) produced 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Kelsey Harris (178-92, college: Cal-Davis) added 13 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals respectively for lost side. B.Loewen (2-12) moved-up to tenth place in North. Wusterhausen lost fifth consecutive game. Wusterhausen at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. B.Loewen will face higher ranked Baskets Grunberg (#9) in Gruenberg in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Wusterhausen will play at home against SG BBZ Opladen and hope to win that game.
