Regular Season Round 18: Varda HE - Leotar 80-81

Twelfth-ranked Varda HE (4-14) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Leotar (12-6) on Sunday. The visitors from Trebinje managed to secure only one-point victory 81-80. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was naturalized Serbian forward Nikola Djurasovic (197-83) who scored 20 points. Swingman Milan Luzaic (191-96) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists. Four Leotar players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian point guard Nenad Djurdjevic (180-87) who recorded 23 points and 8 assists and Serbian center Djordje Dzeletovic (205-93, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Leotar have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Mladost. Loser Varda HE stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. They share it with Radnik B.. Leotar will meet at home league's second-placed Spars Sarajevo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Varda HE will play against the league's leader Kakanj (#1) and hope to secure a win.
