Regular Season Round 14: Dnipro - Hoverla 90-68

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Dnepropetrovsk. First ranked Dnipro faced 4th ranked Hoverla. Host Dnipro (12-1) smashed guests from Frankivsk (7-7) 90-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hoverla. Dnipro forced 20 Hoverla turnovers and outrebounded them 54-42 including 23 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Hoverla's players. The best player for the winners was swingman Pavel Revzin (194-83) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. International Olexandr Mishula (192-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Dnipro players scored in double figures. Dnipro's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Jayon James (198-92, college: La-Monroe) produced 13 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and American-Jamaican guard Dante Williams (191-87, college: E.Tenn.St.) added 16 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Dnipro have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-1 record. Hoverla at the other side dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. Dnipro are looking forward to face Kharkiv (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Hoverla will have a break next round.
