Everything went according to plan in Varna where sixth ranked Cherno More (10-8) beat bottom-ranked Chernomorets (2-16) 93-85 on Friday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-20. But Chernomorets won third quarter 23-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Chernomorets 39-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. Cherno More looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Chernomorets' players. The former international forward Simeon Iliev (204-89, agency: Interperformances) scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian center Nikola Maravic (212-89, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest.
